That's right, this Saturday (May 6, 2023) is Free Comic Book Day! Local-ish comic book shops are giving away free issues of comic books to people who visit their shops. A few even have special events such as author visits, signings, cosplay contests, etc.
Head to the official website to find a participating location in our area. They're unfortunately all across rivers...gonna have to work on getting our two local comic book shops involved in future years). My preferred choice is Comic Relief, which is right off highway 370 at the 3rd Street exit in St. Chuck.
So, after you're done sleeping off that Cinco de Mayo (I guess that's also an acceptable corporate holiday) heartburn, head on out to the comic book shop to get some free stuff!
